X-ray Safety

In today’s world we no longer use film. Instead, we use computer chips that are called digital sensors. Digital sensors are so sensitive that we can reduce the amount of x-rays we need to get a good picture.

One dental x-ray using digital sensors is equivalent to spending 15 minutes on an aircraft at 30,000 feet. So this means that a 3 hour flight from Trinidad to Miami will deliver the same amount of radiation to the body as taking 12 dental x-rays. Airline pilots do this every day.
